Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan–2026 Begins at ICAR–RCER, Patna

The Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan–2026 began at the ICAR–Research Complex for Eastern Region (ICAR–RCER), Patna, on September 17, 2026. The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Swachhta Mein Sahbhag, Swachh Bharat, Viksit Bharat’. The campaign will be observed from September 17 to October 2, 2026.

On the occasion of the commencement of the campaign, Dr. Anup Das, Director, ICAR–RCER, Patna, administered the Swachhta pledge to the officers and employees of the Institute. He said that cleanliness is a continuous process and should become an integral part of every individual’s daily conduct and work culture. He emphasised the importance of collective participation in creating a clean and healthy work environment.

Dr. Das urged the officers and employees to remain conscious of cleanliness in their surroundings and motivate others to adopt clean practices so that the message of cleanliness reaches the wider society. He called upon everyone to actively participate in the activities being organised under the Swachhta Hi Seva Abhiyan–2026. He said that collective efforts and social participation can make a meaningful contribution towards the vision of a Swachh Bharat and Viksit Bharat.

On the occasion, Heads of Divisions Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya, Dr. Kamal Sarma, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar and Dr. Ujjwal Kumar shared their views on the importance of cleanliness. They highlighted that maintaining cleanliness is not only an individual responsibility but also requires collective participation to create a clean campus and a healthy environment.

“Dr. Abhishek Kumar Dubey, Chairman, Swachhta Committee briefed the gathering on the activities and programmes planned under the campaign up to October 2, 2026. He informed that various activities would be organised at the Institute and its centres to promote awareness about cleanliness and encourage active participation in the campaign”, said Sh. Umesh Kumar Mishra, Member Secretary, Media, ICAR-RCER, Patna.
