ICAR-RCER, Patna Celebrates Swachh Bharat Diwas under “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan – 2025

The ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna, marked Swachh Bharat Diwas as part of the “Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan – 2025” with the theme “Swachhotsav”. The event highlighted the institute’s ongoing commitment to cleanliness and public awareness. During the program, all Safai Mitras of the institute were felicitated for their invaluable contribution, and a summary of the cleanliness initiatives conducted between 17th September and 2nd October was presented.

The program was chaired by the Acting Director, Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya, who emphasized, “Cleanliness is not just a one-day event; it should be an integral part of our daily lives. A clean campus, clean environment, and a clean India reflect the health and progress of society. The efforts of our Safai Mitras are truly commendable and serve as an inspiration for all.”

The significance of cleanliness was further reinforced by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Head, DCR and Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, Head, DSEE who motivated all employees and Safai Mitras to remain dedicated and vigilant in maintaining  cleanliness.

On this occasion, the Director of the Institute, Dr. Anup Das, conveyed his message, stating that, “Cleanliness is the foundation of a healthy and developed nation. Every individual’s active participation is essential to realize the dream of a ‘Swachh Bharat’.”

The institute also announced that the Special Cleanliness Campaign-5.0 will run from 3rd October to 31st October 2025, featuring a series of cleanliness drives and awareness programs.

The event’s success was made possible through the active support and participation of Dr. Rajni Kumari, Dr. Surendra Kumar Ahirwal, Dr. Abhishek Kumar Dubey, Shri P. K. Singh,  Shri Abhishek Kumar, Shri Satish Kumar, Shri Umesh Kumar Mishra, and other officials and staff members of the institute.
