Awareness Session on New Labour Codes Conducted at ICAR-RCER, Patna
An awareness session on the New Labour Codes was organized at the ICAR–Research Complex for Eastern Region (ICAR-RCER), Patna on August 05, 2026 to familiarize officers, officials and contractual personnel with the salient provisions of the recently implemented labour reforms.
The session was conducted by Shri Sachin Kumar, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Patna, and Shri P. K. Pankaj, Labour Enforcement Officer (Central), Patna-II, who is also In-charge of Gaya, Dehri-on-Sone and Daltonganj, under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India.
During the interactive programme, the resource persons elaborated on the objectives and key provisions of the New Labour Codes, including their implications for employers and employees, statutory compliance, social security, occupational safety, industrial relations and wage-related reforms. They also addressed participants' queries and emphasized the importance of ensuring compliance with the new legal framework for promoting a transparent, safe and equitable workplace.
The programme was attended by Shri Pushpanayak, Chief Administrative Officer (Senior Grade); Shri Rajat Kumar Das, Finance & Accounts Officer; Smt. Prabha Kumari, Administrative Officer, AAOs, DDO, other administrative staff and contractual workers of the Institute, who actively participated in the discussions.
