ICAR-RCER, Patna Celebrates Constitution Day

The ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm. The programme commenced with a formal address by Dr. Ashutosh Upadhyaya, Acting Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna who led all scientists, officers and employees in reading the Preamble to the Constitution of India, reaffirming their commitment to constitutional values, a vibrant democracy and adherence to fundamental duties.
In his remarks, Dr. Upadhyaya emphasized that the Constitution is not merely a legal document, but a living embodiment of India’s democratic ethos, reflecting the core principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. He urged everyone to uphold the fundamental duties enshrined in the Constitution and to adopt transparency, accountability and a spirit of service in their professional conduct.
Quiz Competition 
As part of the Constitution Day observance, a Constitution-themed quiz competition was held in the afternoon. The officers, staff members and students from the IARI Patna Hub enthusiastically participated in the event. The quiz featured a wide range of questions related to the framing of the Constitution, fundamental rights and duties, key amendments, and the structure of the judiciary, legislature, and administrative systems.
