ICAR-RCER, Patna Observes Vigilance Awareness Week with Integrity Pledge

“Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” – ICAR-RCER, Patna Promotes Collective Integrity and Transparency 

The ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna marked the beginning of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 with the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” on 27th October 2025. The event commenced with the Integrity Pledge administered by Dr. Anup Das, Director, ICAR-RCER, Patna to all staff members of the institute.
In his address, Dr. Anup Das emphasized the importance of transparency, integrity, and accountability in every sphere of life and work. He highlighted that vigilance is not merely the responsibility of a few individuals or the Vigilance Cell but a collective responsibility of every employee. He urged all staff members to uphold honesty, fairness, and ethical conduct in their duties to ensure a corruption-free and transparent institutional environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Amitava Dey, Vigilance Officer, ICAR-RCER, Patna, informed that the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has decided to observe Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 across the country. He added that various awareness programmes and outreach activities will be organized during the week at the Headquarters and Centres of ICAR-RCER to promote integrity and transparency among employees. 
Shri Pushpanayak, Chief Administrative Officer, and Shri Rajat Das, Finance and Accounts Officer also addressed the gathering. They elaborated with practical examples on how employees can remain vigilant in their day-to-day work and help others become aware and alert as well. They explained that simple actions like verifying facts before approval, maintaining transparency in financial and administrative processes, adhering to rules and procedures etc.
The programme was attended by all scientific, technical, administrative, and supporting staff members. Participants took the Integrity Pledge to uphold the highest standards of honesty and accountability in their professional conduct.
