Swachhta Pakhwada Concludes with Press Conference at ICAR-RCER, Patna
The Swachhta Pakhwada, organized under the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign from 16 to 31 December 2025, concluded with a press conference and review meeting at ICAR-RCER, Patna. The programme was chaired by Dr. Kamal Sarma, Acting Director of the Institute.
In his address, Dr. Sarma stated that the Swachhta Pakhwada conducted under the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign created a positive, motivating and disciplined environment across the institute. Commending the dedicated efforts of the Swachhta Committee, officers and staff, he emphasized that a clean and hygienic workplace is vital not only for good health but also for ensuring high-quality and productive research. He urged all stakeholders to carry the message of cleanliness beyond the institute and make it a shared and ongoing responsibility of society. He further informed that similar activities were organized with equal enthusiasm at FSRCHPR, Ranchi; Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ramgarh; and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Buxar.
Earlier, Dr. Rajni Kumari, Chairperson of the Swachhta Campaign, welcomed the officers, staff members and media representatives. She presented a comprehensive overview of the activities carried out under the Swachhta Hi Seva campaign during the period from 16 to 31 December 2025. She highlighted that the pakhwada witnessed a wide range of initiatives, including cleanliness pledge, campus-wide cleanliness drives, shramdaan, waste management practices, promotion of a plastic-free campus, cleanliness workshops, awareness and outreach programmes, signature campaigns and systematic cleaning of offices, laboratories, public places and events organized on National Farmers’ Day. The main objective of these activities was to enhance awareness about cleanliness among employees, students and visitors, and to promote the adoption of a clean, healthy, and sustainable lifestyle. The programme was attended by Dr. A. K. Chaudhary, Principal Scientist; Dr. Manibhushan, Principal Scientist; Shri Pushpanayak, Chief Administrative Officer, along with other officers, staff members and media personnel. During the interaction, Dr. A. K. Chaudhary, Dr. Manibhushan and Shri Pushpanayak shared their perspectives on the significance of cleanliness in institutional and public life.
Dr. Dhiraj Kumar Singh, Nodal Officer (Media) informed that the institute consistently integrates messages on cleanliness and waste management into all its training programmes, awareness campaigns and farmer interaction activities conducted in villages.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Umesh Kumar Mishra, Member Secretary (Media) who expressed sincere appreciation to all officers, participants, members associated with the Swachhta Campaign and media personnel for their cooperation and active participation in making the Swachhta Pakhwada successful.
