MoU Between ICAR-RCER, Patna and Narayan Institute of Agricultural Sciences
A significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on September 20, 2025, between the ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region (RCER), Patna, and the Narayan Institute of Agricultural Sciences, which is part of Gopal Narayan Singh University. The purpose of this MoU is to promote education, research, and innovation in the agricultural sector, providing students, researchers, and farmers with proper knowledge and practical training in modern agricultural techniques.
This collaboration is expected to inspire students to pursue research, startups, and entrepreneurship in the agricultural field. Present at the signing ceremony were Dr. Anup Das, Director, and Dr. Abhay Kumar, Principal Scientist, from the ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna. Representing Gopal Narayan Singh University were Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. K. Singh, Hon'ble Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jagdish Singh, Registrar Prof. Dharmendra Kumar, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Prof. S. S. Singh, Director Prof. H. K. Singh, Senior Professors Prof. Ashok Kumar and Prof. Dharmaraj Singh, as well as Assistant Professors Dr. Shashank Shekhar Singh and Dr. S. S. Singh.
This kind of academic and research collaboration plays a crucial role in connecting agricultural education with practical application. It not only provides students and researchers with practical knowledge of modern techniques but also helps farmers get information and training on advanced agricultural practices. This initiative will encourage innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector and will help move the country towards a self-sufficient agricultural system.
