From Ojhadih to the Supreme Court: Gaurav Ojha's Inspiring Journey of Grit and Glory

In a moment of immense pride for the remote village of Ojhadih, nestled in the Tundi block of Dhanbad district, Gaurav Kumar Ojha has achieved a milestone that will inspire generations to come. The grandson of the late Habulal Ojha and Smt. Balika Devi, and the eldest son of senior journalist Shri Santosh Kumar Ojha and Smt. Mamta Ojha, Gaurav has started practising in the Supreme Court of India.

Having earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Delhi University (DU), Gaurav’s journey is a powerful testament to the values of perseverance, discipline, and dedication. He attributes his success to the blessings of his elders and the unwavering support of his family.

"It is truly the blessings of my elders that I now have the honor to argue cases in the Supreme Court," said an emotional Gaurav. “This is an incredibly proud and joyous moment for me.”

He also acknowledged the constant motivation he received from his cousin Shri Umesh Kumar Mishra, a translator serving in a subordinate office under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India in Patna. Gaurav described Mr. Mishra’s guidance as a crucial force that kept his spirits high during the most challenging phases of his preparation.
Adding to his strength were his two elder brothers — Shri Mukesh Kumar Mishra, working in the Railway Department, and Shri Sameer Kumar Ojha, serving in the Mining Department. Gaurav expressed deep gratitude to both for their continuous encouragement and role-model-like presence in his life.

Celebrations erupted in Ojhadih as news of his success spread. Teachers, well-wishers, relatives, and villagers showered blessings on Gaurav for bringing such honour to his roots.

His father, Shri Santosh Kumar Ojha, shared his joy, saying, “This is indeed a moment of true ‘Gaurav’ — pride not only for our family but for our entire village. His journey from struggle to success is an inspiration for all.”

Gaurav’s sisters — Shivani, Radha, Shipu, Payal, and Preeti — also expressed their immense happiness, calling it a moment of unforgettable pride for the entire family. "It's really 'aar naay kehe hoto' moment", informed Sh. Umesh Kumar Mishra to the Nation Todays 24.
